The client, a provider of professional skills certification and continuing education to individuals around the world, also needed to serve businesses, unions, educational institutions, and other groups.
The needs of these corporate groups covered a wide range: Some wished simply to provide educational opportunities to employees with little involvement, but others needed to track learner progress in detail and provide tools for instructors.
In some cases tools previously developed for individuals – like customized landing pages and transcripts – could be modified for groups. Tools developed for corporate groups in many cases turned out to be useful for individual learners/customers.
This collaborative process between site operators and developer unfolded over the course of years. Its features could never have been anticipated and implemented ahead of time, much less designed via some series of plain language agentic AI queries.
In addition to thousands of lines of custom PHP, Javascript, and MySQL code, the suite relies on integration of numerous 3rd Party WordPress plugins and javascript libraries, including BuddyBoss/BuddyPress, Learndash, Elementor, DataTables, TourGuide JS, Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields, Uncanny Owl plugins, weDocs, and WP Crontrol.
Features not just developed but evolved since initial implementation include:

- An internal caching system making it practical and convenient to display detailed data for groups with thousands of members.
- Group Configuration pages for the creation of different types of groups with varied feature packages.

- Integration with Uncanny Learndash Codes for group registration
- Extensive Quiz Data extracted from SCORM (Rise and Articulate) file interactions, availabe by course, user, and group.
- Custom “TourGuides” providing simple usage instruction for untrained operators.
